My music and maths research
Emmanuel Amiot

Trained both as a mathematician and a musician, I directed my research towards the fascinating area in between.
This new domain begins to get academic recognition, through the founding of the

Society for Mathematics and Computation in Music

and the triannual publishing of its journal:

Journal of Mathematics and Music

I have published numerous papers in it, and am now one of the editors in chief.
